Ministries & Outreach
Embrace Ladies
A group of ladies from the church meet monthly to discuss programs and outreach they are working on or would like to begin. One wonderful program they started is the Prayer Blanket Outreach. This service is for anyone in need of comfort, such as a death in the family, hard-times, suffering with an illness and anyone in need. This is such a touching program this group of ladies started! Another ongoing ministry is for Mary’s Soup Kitchen. The Embrace Ladies gather and promote donations from within the church to be delivered to the soup kitchen once a month or as we fill up the donation pew in the side-room. The Embrace also gathers food for Thanksgiving baskets to be delivered to families from the area, church members or not. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and a loving way to help our neighbors in need.
Baptist Men
A group of men from the church meet once a month to discuss outreach and upcoming business. The Baptist Men work together to help families in need from our community. Every year they typically find a few families from the area to help at Christmas time. Over the years the men have put up wheelchair ramps and ensured church members along with others with wheelchairs and similar mobility equipment. It is an amazing opportunity for the men to step up and reach outside of the church walls to show their brotherly love in Christ.
Children’s Ministry
We have Children’s Church on Sunday mornings while the adults gather in the sanctuary. We play games, sing songs, pray, have Bible stories, and so much more! We are excited as more children begin to come regularly. We are looking forward to starting our Sunday School back for the younger ones. Once we have more families and children that are interested, we will also start back on Wednesday nights!
